After a 17-day long break, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh has restarted his Praja Sankalpa Yatra from Melupu Valasa in Salur constituency of Vizianagaram district.
A massive amount of YSR Congress party leaders and activists gathered in Vizianagaram district and welcomed their leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, as he resumed his Padayatra after injury in attack at Vizag airport.
Jagan Reddy while boarding a Flight to Hyderabad to attend CBI Court was attacked with a Knife Blade in the VIP Lounge of the Airport on 25 Oct 2018. He sustained injury on Shoulder.
After a 17-day break, the Opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh has restarted his Praja Sankalpa Yatra from Melupu Valasa in Salur constituency of Vizianagaram district.
Jagan Reddy has so far toured 11 of the 13 districts in Andhra Pradesh on foot and the Vizianagaram is the district. Once he concludes Vizianagaram tour, he then will enter Srikakulam district, the last district in his padayatra schedule.
Earlier, Jagan Reddy was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on misappropriation charges and his Judicial custody was extended repeatedly as the investigation proceeded.
The Supreme Court also dismissed his petition on 4 July 2012, 9 August 2012, and on 13 May 2013.
