Japan’s Giant Telecom ‘Softbank’ to Invest $10 billion in India

Japan’s telecom giant Softbank has promised an Investment of US $10 billion in India’s IT and communication space.

Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad says in his Facebook page, “CEO of Softbank and Japan’s Wealthiest businessman Mr. Masayoshi Son reached me today. He communicated incredible hopefulness in India’s changed investment atmosphere and in the administration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.”

Softbank has Operations in broadband, fixed line telecom, E-commerce, media, Finance and Marketing with a Market Cap of US $92 billion.
