Jayalalitha’s Demand to CBN

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has invited the CMs of all the states for the foundation stone laying ceremony of new capital city, Amaravati, on October 22nd. Although, many conveyed Best wishes, Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha has put a condition to grace the event.

Jayalalithaa has reportedly sought the release of 516 Tamil red sandalwood cutters from the prisons of AP with immediate effect. Jaya wrote a letter to AP CM in this regard.

The relations between AP and Tamil Nadu have been strained ever since the encounter at Seshachalam forest that resulted in the death of 20 Tamil origin red sandalwood cutters.

Ever since then, Tamil Nadu Government has been raising the issue quite often to irk the AP Govt. recently, when Chandrababu sought the continuation of Telugu language in Tamil Nadu Government Schools, Tamil CM raised the same issue.

She might not attend the event, which is not a big concern. However, the plight of Telugu people in Tamil Nadu seems to be not ending in near future as Jaya is in no mood to listen to Babu’s requests unless the red sandalwood cutters are released.
