So far, Kona Venkat has been hailed as one of Tollywood’s top writers. He has the credit for penning the story, screenplay and dialogues for some highly successful Films.
However, 2015 has proved to be a disastrous year for the star writer as his 4 films that were released in the gap of just two months, flopped miserably.
Kona Venkat penned story for high Budget entertainer ‘Bruce Lee’ starring Ram Charan. The film was panned for illogical and routine story and screenplay.
Then came Akhil Akkineni’s launch-pad ‘Akhil’ for which Kona provided dialogues and inputs in screenplay. The film turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in the recent times.
Kona also penned the screenplay for the latest flop horror-thriller film ‘Tripura’ starring Swathi. Finally, Kona has written and produced the latest flop ‘Sankarabharanam’. Kona even gave himself the credit for ‘Direction supervision’ for Sankarabharanam.
With all these 4 films bombing at the Box-office, Kona’s brand value and reputation are at stake now. During one of Shankarabharanam’s promotional interviews, Kona said that he has provided a new screenplay. But, after watching Shankarabharanam, critics panned him for his routine screenplay for an original plot.
