Well known industrialist and senior Congress leader Lagadapati Rajgopal was the leader of united AP movement before the separation of Telugu states. Rajagopal even vowed to retire from politics if Andhra Pradesh was separated and he was firm to his word by not contesting in the General Elections of 2014.
However, political circles are now abuzz that the firebrand politician is making plans to make a comeback to politics. Lagadapati is planning to join TDP very soon and the former Vijayawada MP has been in touch with the top brass of TDP in this regard.
Buzz is that Lagadapati has given an open offer of huge donation to TDP for his inclusion and the Vijayawada MP seat in the 2019 General Elections. No official announcement regarding this is made yet but reliable sources confirmed it.
It has to be seen what the current Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani say to this and how can Chief Minister Chandrababu naidu pacify him if Lagadapati joins TDP asks for the same ticket?
