The efficient industrial policy of Andhra Pradesh is definitely yielding good results.
After Chinese giants like Xiaomi and OnePlus and Indian giants like Micromax, Celkon, Spice etc now another domestic Smartphone maker Lava has announced to invest Rs 500 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in Sri City, Tirupati.
In fact, it was for this plant Narendra Modi had laid foundation stone on 22nd October before leaving for Tirumala. As per official report, Operations at this facility will begin from 2017 and the plant has the capacity of producing 5 million handsets per month.
It is expected to generate employment for as many as 12,000. Apart from Lava mobiles, this manufacturing facility will also produce other brands such as Micromax, Celkon, Karbonn, Spice etc.
The ‘Make In India’ Initiative of Narendra Modi’s govt. is fetching good results for AP as the Smartphone Industry is trying to make the most out of the smart resources in the newly formed state.
