Tata Motors, India’s largest Automobile company, has roped in Football Superstar Lionel Messi as their global brand ambassador to promote passenger vehicles on global scale.
Argentine football team captain Messi has been the four-time recipient of the Best football player of the world award and his fan following across the globe is phenomenal.
President of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle business Unit Mayank Pareek said that the contract with Messi is for two years and it can be extended. The company is looking to expand its footprint across the globe and they found Messi as the ideal choice owing to his global appeal.
Messi, who will be endorsing an Indian brand for the first time in his career said, “I am very excited about my first association with an Indian brand and am extremely thrilled to be a part of the Tata Motors family. I have always been fascinated by India and have heard such great things about this diverse country.”
Tata Motors will soon launch an exclusive and limited edition merchandise indicating their association with Messi.
