It is well known that Nagarjuna Akkineni and Karthi are acting in a multistarrer titled ‘Oopiri’. The Film is the remake of French hit film ‘The Intouchables’. Tamanna is playing the leading lady.
Tamanna is playing the secretary of Nagarjuna and the love interest of Karthi. As per the French film, Tamanna’s character doesn’t have much scope in the film but keeping the image of the milky beauty in mind (especially after ‘Baahubali’), her character is extended and new scenes are added in the film.
Makers are Banking on the actress’s image to get the much needed commercial boost to the otherwise non-commercial film.
However, few feel that the move will backfire. The story deals about the relation between Paraplegic guy, Nagarjuna and his caretaker, Karthi but the inclusion of romantic angle between Karthi andTamanna with couple of romantic Songs will only dilute the actual story and hinder the target Audiences from liking the film.
It has to be seen how Vamsi Paidipally has managed this.
