Young tiger NTR’S upcoming Film ‘Nannaku Prematho’ landed in fresh trouble as a case was filed against the makers alleging that the latest poster of the film hurt the sentiments of Muslim community.
A complaint was filed at the minority commission stating that a particular poster of the film has heroine in an obscene posture against the backdrop of few religious verses. Few members of the community conducted a bike rally on the streets of Hyderabad protesting against the film.
Soon, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Commission issued notices to Hyderabad police and the Regional Censor Board to look into the matter.
SVCC, the production house making this film, has finally released a new poster and apologized for the mistake. The press release states,
“It has come to our notice that some members of a religious community have been offended by a background image used in a Song poster of Nannaku Prematho. We respect the religious sentiments of the community and have replaced the image with a new one.
The offending background has also been removed from the film. We offer an unconditional apology to the members of the community for any offense caused to religious sentiments because of the background image. We have never been against any community, nor do we bear any ill will towards any community.
We believe that every community has the right to live with dignity, honour, and freedom. The poster design was an accident and it was not intended as an act of malice.”
