Pakistan Government has reportedly denied Visa to veteran actor Anupam Kher who was recently awarded one of the country’s top civilian awards, Padma Bhushan.
Anupam Kher revealed that he has been denied the Pakistan visa for his visit to Karachi to attend a Literature festival that will commence from 5th February. Interestingly, out of 18 the applicants to attend the Karachi festival, 17 were given visa and only Anupam Kher was denied.
He added that he doesn’t know why his visa application has been denied. The actor opined that his point of view on Kashmiri Pandits issue or his support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi or his stance over rising intolerance in India might have led to the denial of visa.
However, a diplomat from the Pakistan High Commission said that Anupam Kher has not submitted any visa application.
