As per the latest discussions in political circles, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is going to handover one of the most important ministries in his cabinet, Revenue Ministry, to Payyavula Kesav, one of the senior TDP leaders. Apparently, Payyavula has been lobbying heavily for this ministry.
The revenue ministry was under the reign of Deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy, until now. This move by Chandrababu has led to many discussions about his election promise of giving priority to BCs by making a BC candidate the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh.
With Naidu replacing KE Krishnamurthy, a BC candidate with Payyavula Kesav, a Kamma candidate, Minorities might not be pleased. Also, there have been several rumors about KE Krishnamurthy being sacked even as the Deputy CM.
As per his poll promise, Chandrababu got two Deputy CMs and now he is planning to sacrifice KE Krishnamuthy to bring Payyavula Kesav up the ladder. With Payyavula taking the reign, there has been no report about Krishnamurthy’s future role in the cabinet.
