The Telugu version of Vijay’s ‘Theri’ was all set to release as ‘Policeodu’ in the two Telugu states until Telangana Police Association has staged protests for a change in title.
The title has now been changed as ‘Police’ after Police Organizations met successful producer Dil Raju, who is releasing the Film in Telugu, to explain their reservations against the ‘Policeodu’ title. The film titled ‘Police’ will release as per schedule on April 15.
The Movie has been given U certificate and is aiming for a massive opening. Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations and senior producer Kalaipuli S Thanu will be releasing the Telugu version. Atlee, who shot to fame with his debut film ‘Raja Rani’, ha directed this film with a high Budget.
Samantha and Amy Jackson played lead actresses while Prabhu and Radhika played important roles. The Tamil version titled ‘Theri’ has already hit screens today.
