Rosalba Hernandez, a professor of social work at the University of Illinois revealed in the journal Health Behavior and Policy Review, “People with the most abnormal amounts of optimism have double the chances of being in perfect cardiovascular health compared to their more pessimistic counterparts.”
The study analyzed associations between optimism and heart health in more than 5,100 adults by reviewing and assessing their mental health levels of optimism and physical wellbeing.
