Super star Rajinikanth’s disaster Film has joined the league of all time classic Telugu film ‘Maya Bazar’.
The film in discussion is Rajinikanth’s animation mega venture ‘Kochadaiyaan’. The film is all set to release in Karnataka in dubbed Kannada version. The film has become the first dubbing film that will be releasing in dubbed kannada version after a long gap of 50 years. Maya Bazar was the last film that was dubbed in Kannada 50 years ago.
Karnataka is the only state in the country where dubbing from other languages was banned. Movies and television serials from other languages are not permitted to be dubbed into Kannada. The ban has been in implementation for more than 50 years.
As Kannada Industry bigwigs were scared that dubbing films will sink Kannada film Industry, this decision was taken way back. After lot of protests, this ban was lifted very recently.
Hence ‘Kochadaiyaan’ makers saw this as a huge opportunity to score some amount as the film has so far been declared a dud in every language that it was released.
