We have recently reported about the horrific rape story that happened inside the canteen of Infosys IT campus in Pune. While investigating, Pune police found fault with the IT major for the delay in reporting of the rape.
The rape case was lodged more than 24 hours after the incident took place. In fact, Infosys authorities haven’t responded until the poor victim lodged a case with the police. Furthermore, the IT Company refused to claim any responsibility despite the fact that the victim and accused are members of housekeeping staff of the campus.
After the issue became public, Infosys issued a press note clarifying that the victim and the two accused were actually contract employees hired by external agency so they claim no responsibility. Now, the cops are enquiring if the Infosys authorities have done enough background check before hiring the accused.
In the incident happened on December 27th, the 2 accused raped the 30-Year-Old woman in washroom and Filmed the entire act. The accused were sent to remand for now and the investigation is on.
