American online social media and social networking service giant Facebook has come up with a brand-new ‘news feed policy’ update that will robotically downgrade weblinks from the websites that upload stolen content in the News Feed.
According to techCrunch, the system will compare the main text content of a page with all other text content to identify the originality of the content.
Websites with clickbait captions or landing pages with low-quality ads will give little preference in News Feed.
REAL Reason Behind the decision.
The key target for the company is to push original and interesting stories to users over posts which are not appropriate or original.
The updated artificial intelligence (AI) system will perform better in detecting websites which scrape content or republish stories from other sources, without accurate credit or making insignificant changes without consent.
News Feed is a Feature of the Facebook. Using an exclusive method, the Social Network picks a handful of updates to show users every time they visit their feed, out of an average of 2,000 updates they can potentially receive.
Over 2 billion people use Facebook every month, making the network’s News Feed the most viewed and most influential aspect of the news Industry.
