YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three capital announcement has thrust the Andhra Pradesh State into chaos.
Thousands of Farmers and their family members have been protesting on the roads in Amaravati for over two weeks. YSR Congress party chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three capital announcement has thrust the Andhra Pradesh State into chaos.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national President and former chief minister of AP N. Chandrababu Naidu on 31st December said, “these are devastating times for Andhra Pradesh.”
Instead of solving existing problems, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government is crating new ones compounding the misery of people, Naidu said.
The 3 Capitals announcement has thrust the state into chaos. Thousands of farmers, agri workers, Women and Children from all sections of the society are protesting on the roads – something that has never happened before, said Naidu in a statement.
With hope in their hearts, they (farmers) had given away their lands towards construction of Amaravati. Their future must not be jeopardized. Their sacrifice must not go waste. Everyone of us must stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers and their families and support them in their struggle against injustice, against tyranny, said Naidu.
“TDP has decided not to celebrate New Year in view of Amaravati agitation. I urge all party members, cadre and people to donate the money which they would have spent on Celebrations to Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi which is representing thousands of protesting farmers and agri workers. #SaveAmaravati must be the battle cry of each of us,” he added.
