Makers of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming Film ‘Brahmotsavam’ are spreading news in film circles that it has done a business of Rs 100 Cr.
Well, only the trade pundits and Movie buffs could understand how big a joke it is. ‘Brahmotsavam’ has done the highest pre-release business in Mahesh Babu’s career for sure but it has not even crossed the Rs 80 Cr mark.
The Worldwide theatrical business of Brahmotsavam is close to Rs 80 Cr. If we include the satellite, audio, digital and dubbing rights, then the total would cross the coveted Rs 100 Cr mark. It has become a trend to mislead people by stating a particular film has done Rs 100 Cr business.
In fact, even Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ didn’t do Rs 100 Cr theatrical pre-release business. But, the film was promoted with that Rs 100 Cr tag. Now, after the film flopped, people are calculating the loss by deducting from Rs 100 Crore, which is affecting the makes in return.
