Salman Khan collapses twitter posts on Yakub Memon, apologises

Following an intense anger over his Tweets supporting 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon, Bollywood star Salman Khan on Sunday tweeted that “I here by retract them” at the same time the actor preserved that he was standing by his statement that “Tiger Memon should hang for his crimes”.

Salman Khan had on Saturday posted tweets saying that Tiger Memon is the primary culprit in the Mumbai serial explosions and he should be hanged instead of Yakub Memon.

However, the actor faced intense criticism from different groups and even from his father.

The ruling BJP leaders across the country demanded an apology from the star for allegedly damaging people’s emotions.

Disapproving of Salman’s statement, his father Salim Khan said, “Whatever Salman has posted is ridiculous and pointless. Salman is unaware of the situation and people should not take him seriously.”

On Sunday, Salman once again took to Twitter to withdraw his Saturday’s written text and made an unconditional apology.
