Protection has been moved up outside Bollywood star Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra right after his controversial Twitter update concerning the hanging of 1993 Bombay explosions convict Yakub Memon.
Even his father, Salim Khan clarified that his twitter posts ought to be ignored.
Salman had earlier tweeted that Yakub Memon should not be hanged since the real offender is actually the latter’s brother Tiger Memon.
Yakub Memon has been sentenced to death for his role in the 1993 Mumbai explosions. The Supreme Court had earlier this week denied his last-minute appeal and upheld his hanging for July 30. Yakub had challenged the apex court’s order arguing that legal course of action was overlooked in giving him death punishment.
Salman Khan took to Twitter in which he guarded 1993 blasts accused Yakub Memon in a chain of unusual twitter posts.
Salman Khan has set the cat among the pigeons with a series of tweets guarding Yakub and expecting his brother Tiger to be hanged in its place.
He had tweeted: “Hang Tiger. Brother is being hanged for Tiger. Arre where is Tiger? Get Tiger hang him. Parade him not his brother.”
