Salman Khan’s case: High Court Finds Patil’s Testimony ‘UNRELIABLE’

The Bombay High Court has today said that the testimony of late Ravindra Patil, the prime witness in the Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s Hit and Run case is unreliable.

Justice AR Joshi termed Ravindra Patil, who was assigned as the bodyguard of Salman, was present in the vehicle during the incident that occurred on 28th September, 2002, “an unreliable witness” and added that it was difficult to accept his testimony as it had too many inconsistencies.

The court also highlighted that in his police statement recorded on the accident day, Patil had not mentioned about Salman being drunk, however he added this only on his subsequent statement recorded on 1st October 2012, after the reports on blood sample tests were received.

It is known that the Sessions Court in May 2015 sentenced Salman Khan five years’ jail term on charges of “culpable homicide not amounting to murder”. The actor soon filed aplea in the High Court challenging that verdict.

This new development is a positive sign for the actor.
