Bollywood Movie “Piku” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles was critically acclaimed and it became super hit at the Box Office as well. As per sources, Suresh Productions is now looking to grab the Telugu remake rights and they have plans to remake it with Venkatesh and Samantha in the place of Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika respectively.
Sources added that Samantha has already shown interest to play the role of Deepika Padukone as the character has big scope for performance. An official confirmation regarding this is awaited.
Venkatesh is only relying on remakes these days as he wants to play different roles that match to his age and he could not find such scripts in Telugu. Venkatesh has previously remade Films like ‘Oh My God’, ‘Bol Bachchan’, ‘Drishyam’ etc in Telugu. He hopes to play this role of Bachchan as well since he fell in love with that film.
It has to be seen how Audiences will react to see Venky as father of Samantha, a lead actress.
