Mumbai Police have reduced or completely withdrawn the security of 40 Bollywood Celebrities including Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan.
Senior Police officials claimed it a routine procedure and said that the step was taken after a review which revealed that the Bollywood celebs don’t need security anymore. They also pointed out that the move was to trim unwanted security cover for celebs and use the man power for better purposes.
Shah Rukh and Aamir’s security was increased after the Bollywood stars’ comments about rising intolerance in India. However, after the recent assessment, the Khans will only get two armed constables as security.
Only 15 Bollywood celebs will get security from the Mumbai Police including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Lata Mangeshkar, Dilip Kumar etc.
On the other hand, security has been completely withdrawn for the likes of Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Farah Khan, Karim Morani etc.
