It is very well known that Shah Rukh Khan owns the ‘Kolkata Knight riders’, an IPL team, but very less people know that he also co-owns a West Indies T20 team, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL)..
Shah Rukh has now rebranded the team as ‘Trinbago Knight Riders’ (TKR). Shahrukh Khan purchased the franchise in year 2015 and this year he decided to re-christen the franchise. After announcing the news, the team Management explained that they are looking forward to expand Knight Riders brand.
The logo of Trinbago Knight Riders was also unveiled and it looks quite similar to Kolkata Knight Riders’.
“It is a great honour to become a part of the rich Cricketing tradition of Trinidad & Tobago. We will do everything to uphold the tradition and thank all the people of Trinbago in advance for their passion and support,” said Shah Rukh Khan, the Co-owner of Trinbago Knight Riders.
