Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making Films on realistic themes. He also has won National film Awards for films like ‘Chandini Bar’ and ‘Fashion’. His latest directorial “Calendar Girls” is slated for release on 25th of this month.
The film tells the story of 5 models and their journey to become successful in glamour Industry. In the film, these five go on to shoot for India’s most celebrated calendar, Kingfisher and their lives take different turns after that.
Among the five, one girl becomes a big heroine. After a brief acting stint, she dates a married businessman, makes him divorce his first wife and then marries him. This is very close to the real life story of Shilpa Shetty.
As per inside sources, Madhur actually has inspired from Shilpa’s life story to create this character. Ever since Shilpa found out this, she is heard to be expressing her anger at Madhur, at her close friends.
