Controversial genius Ram Gopal Varma was hugely disappointed with the Telugu regional censor board for not certifying his latest Film ‘Killing Veerappan’ for theatrical release but he surely is having the last laugh as the film opened to tremendous reviews in Sandalwood, Karnataka.
Kannada version of Killing Veerappan has been opened to positive buzz. Many reviewers called it as comeback of great RGV and termed ‘Killing Veerappan’ is a film not to be missed. Many theaters screening Killing Veerappan across the state displayed houseful boards, a rarity for an RGV film.
Although the presence of Kannada Superstar Shivrajkumar helped the film gain positive buzz even before release, RGV’s terrific taking and his usage of every nuance of filmmaking came together in Killing Veerappan to announce his comeback.
Now, expectations will surely rise for the Telugu version, which is set to release on 7th of this month. However, the Sankranthi biggies will storm the theatres in no time and might play a foil for ‘Killing Veerappan’, if it was released on 7th Jan.
But RGV is no coward to postpone his film especially when reviews are glowing.
