social media outrage is witnessed over the proposal of the BJP-led Union Government to double the monthly salaries of our BELOVED MPs, now going to be staggering Rs 2.8 lakh per month.
An increase in the monthly salary from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh, constituency allowance from Rs 45,000 to Rs 90,000 and secretarial assistance from Rs 45,000 to Rs 90,000 will be observed if this proposal is implemented.
The Finance Ministry is scrutinizing the proposal, which also includes a suggestion to increase the pension of MPs from existing Rs 20,000 to Rs 35,000. The MPs who served for more than 5 years will get an additional pay, which is equal to the number of years multiplied by Rs 2,000.
