Veteran actress Sridevi , who made her comeback to southern cinema after nearly two decades with the fantasy flick ‘Puli’ claimed during the promotions of the Movie that she was treated like a ‘Queen’ on the sets, like the character she had played in the fantasy flick.
No one can deny that ‘Puli’ starring Tamil star hero Vijay turned out to be a big disaster at the Box Office. To make things worse, Sridevi has now lodged a complaint with Mumbai Producer’s Council alleging that ‘Puli’ Producers have not yet paid her the signing amount.
A whopping remuneration of Rs 5.5 Crore was promised for Sridevi but Rs 50 lakhs is yet to be cleared. Although, Sridevi asked the Producers a couple of times, she was not given any assurance, forcing her to lodge a complaint.
As ‘Puli’ is a regional Film, Mumbai Producer’s Council notified the issue to Tamil Producer’s Council. Makers of ‘Puli’, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens have yet to respond.
