Although Hollywood Film ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is shattering every possible Box Office records globally, the action entertainer has lost to Shah Rukh Khan’s Hindi film ‘Dilwale’ in UAE.
The films are released on the same day in UAE and as per leading distributors the business of ‘Dilwale’ is almost double to Star Wars’. Being the Holiday season and all schools being shut down in UAE, families obviously chose to watch SRK’s ‘Dilwale’, a light hearted romantic comedy over ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, a full blown action drama.
Bollywood Movies are always welcomed in UAE but ‘Dilwale’ has seen the Best ever opening in UAE for any Hindi film till date despite competition with Star Wars and Bajirao Mastani.
In India, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was postponed in order to avoid clash with the two biggies ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’,which already were fighting for screens. If ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was also released, it would have been a big mess with two biggies already sharing the business.
Star Wars will be releasing in India on December 25.
