Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Thursday conceded that the statements of some party leaders on religious transformations were harming the party’s image.
While addressing media in Hyderabad, Amitshah said, “When our MLAs or MPs give such statements on religious conversions, it harms the party.”
On BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj’s statement appealing each Hindu to have four Children, Amit Shah said it was his individual statement, the BJP doesn’t agree with it.”
He also said it was unfortunate that no a single so called secular party had come forward to support the legislature’s proposal in Parliament for bringing the law against conversions.
