Who could have though that Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump would be nominated for the 2016 Nobel Peace but it happened.
A Nobel watcher and director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo, said that he was committed to not reveal the names of the nominators but Shared a line from the letter of the nominator, which sings praises of Trump for “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.”
Trump has repeatedly uttered to bomb the ISIS during his campaign speeches.
The Nobel Committee offers thousands of people the opportunity to nominate organizations and individuals for the award.
The nominated recipients include Martin Luther King Jr., the Red Cross and Barack Obama while the ones to get nominated but did not receive the prize include Mahatma Gandhi, Pope Francis, Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin.
