Bollywood star hero Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’, which was released more than a decade ago, was a landmark Film in the history of Indian cinema.
Apart from being a Box Office success, the film also won numerous awards apart from getting nominated for Academy Award in Best Foreign Film category.
Now, media houses are abuzz about the sequel of that landmark film. As per sources, Aamir has already approached many technicians for the sequel. The groundwork is going on at the moment.
The first part with ‘Once upon a time in India’ tagline, showcased the pre-Independence scenario and the sequel is heard to be having ‘India at present’ tagline and will showcase the present situation in corrupt India.
It is not yet clear if Ashutosh Gowariker, who directed the first part, will again come on board or not but Prachi Desai is heard to have been finalized as the leading lady.
Aamir is currently busy with ‘Dangal’ and he might look at this project after finishing ‘Dangal’.
