Telangana state has become the centre point for farmer suicides. After the TRS has formed Govt. in Telangana, almost 1300 Farmers have committed suicides so far.
Opposition Parties have been demanding the state govt. to raise the ex-gratia from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh to the families of the farmers, who have committed suicides.
TTDP leaders have also been planning to corner TRS by giving the example of AP govt. which had raised the ex-gratia to the families of deceased farmers to Rs 5 lakh, back in February 2015.
However, what KCR has done after his return from China has shocked the opposition parties.
During the cabinet meeting held on Friday, Telangana Govt. has decided to raise the ex-gratia to Rs 6 lakh from Rs 1.5 lakh, to the families of the deceased farmers.
T govt. has also decided to extend financial assistance to the tune of Rs 51,000 for the marriages of daughters of the deceased farmers.
This master stroke from KCR has left the opponents mute.
