Tamil Nadu Govt. Cut Power for Kamal Haasan’s Residence?

It seems that Tamil Nadu govt. has extracted revenge against universal hero Kamal Haasan for his criticism of the government over the handling of Chennai floods.

When many actors voluntarily came forward to help the victims of floods with hefty donations, acclaimed actor Kamal Haasan criticized the government’s failure over handling the floods and asked where the money of tax payers is going.

Responding to those comments, ex CM and present Public Works Department Minister O Paneerselvam had issued a 6 page statement criticizing the legendary actor. Not only this, it is heard that the electricity cut for the Eldams road corner in Alwarpet, where Kamal’s house and office are located, is just to teach the actor a lesson.

It is being rumored that Kamal was targeted for criticizing the government and hence the power supply to his area was suspended from 1st to 8th Dec. Later Kamal, in a press release, on 7th Dec, said that he never criticized the Tamil Nadu government and asked for apology.

After this, the power supply was restored to the residents of the area where Kamal Haasan was residing. The denial of power for so many days was just a way to harass the actor for his comments against government.
