JanaSena party chief Pawan Kalyan on 13th of October said, Telangana State Road transportation Corporation (TSRTC) employee Srinivas Reddy’s martyrdom is heart-breaking. He said, it is very unfortunate that Srinivas, who is working in Khammam bus depot as a bus driver doused himself in kerosene.
“It is disheartening to note that he is charted to death in front of his wife and Children,” Pawan Kalyan said.
Mr. Kalyan in a press release said, while undergoing treatment with 80 per cent burns, he says shedding tears that “where the RTC workers are happy? It indicates how he is so worried about the threat of losing job and also indifferent attitude of the government.
The incident is unfortunate even after much-anticipated formation of Telangana State, he added.
Demanding immediate action from the Telangana government, Mr. Kalyan said, the Telangana government must react immediately and set right the things. It must take steps to instil courage among the RTC workers. It is responsibility of the government as well as the people’s representatives to ensure that not even a single life is lost further. The government must call the RTC unions for deliberations to withdraw their strike. I appeal to all the RTC workers not to take any extreme steps.
