16 months after the formation, Telangana is voted the ‘Promising State of the year’ by the jury of India business Leaders Awards (IBLA). The awards are Initiatives from CNBC – TV18 to recognize major contributors to the global Economy.
The honor came to Telangana for year 2015. Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhara Rao is likely to attend the Awards ceremony to be held in Mumbai to receive the award. KCR is said to have thanked the jury and expressed his gratitude over the selection of Telangana.
TRS government hopes that this recognition will play major role in the Investments arena as the report by World Bank didn’t give any boost to the state since Telangana was placed 9th in the country then.
According to the jury of IBLA, Telangana met the criteria of the selection. Apart from ‘Promising State of the year’ category, awards will be presented for 10 other categories.
