Vijay’s ‘Theri’ is said to have beaten Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming gangster saga ‘Kabali’ in terms of pre-release business.
Both Films are most awaited for this Summer. People have huge expectations from the two films bankrolled by senior producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The pre-release business of both the films has already begun.
Their’, Vijay’s upcoming action entertainer, has reportedly fetched more amount than superstar Rajinikanth’s gangster drama from Kerala region. ‘Theri’ fetched Rs. 6.5 crore while ‘Kabali’ received only Rs. 6 crore in Kerala.
It may be noted that Kerala is dominated by Vijay’s films so this difference is seen and Vijay cann’t beat Rajini in any other area. The genres of the films also became important. While Rajini’s film is a serious drama, Vijay’s film is a sentimental and action entertainer.
The Teaser of the Atlee directorial broke several records on YouTube soon after its release. ‘Theri’ will hit screens on April 14 while Kabali is pushed to May.
