One of the top producers of Telugu Film Industry, Suresh Babu has met Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao the other day, along with a delegation from Film Chamber of Tollywood and submitted a memorandum alleging that the Government should take an immediate action as the film Industry is losing nearly 350 Crore every year due to piracy.
He alleged that pirated prints of newly released Movies are appearing on nearly 240 websites in just a matter of time and as an indirect result, Tollywood is losing about 350 Crore revenue.
He added that if government could take proper action on all the 240 websites, then piracy could be controlled. He sought for anti piracy cells to be formed and cyber police to be brought into the scene.
KTR assured that a special police cell will be deployed immediately to take care of piracy and promised to take severe actions on all the mentioned websites in the span of a month.
