Bollywood has brought the story of Indian Air Hostess Neerja Bhanot, who had saved 359 lives from a hijacked Flight in Karachi in 1986, at the cost of her own life.
The theatrical Trailer of this upcoming Bollywood Film titled “Neerja” was released and it stunned everyone. Featuring Sonam Kapoor in the titular role, the trailer seems to be an edge of the seat portrayal of the actual events and the unbelievable bravery and the sacrifice of a 23 year old ordinary girl. Neerja was given Bravery Award by India, Pakistan and USA for year 1986, for her sacrifice.
This gripping narrative is portrayed on celluloid by director Ram Madhvani. Sonam Kapoor got emotional at the trailer launch while discussing her experience of portraying the character of Neerja Bhanot. She feels that Bhanot’s attachment to her family and her high principles were common between her real self and Neerja.
