Ace director Rajamouli’s Baahubali’ records seem to be unbeatable for Tollywood Movies for at least couple of more coming years. However, Baahubali looked vulnerable at small screen when Superstar Mahesh Babu made his debut.
Mahesh’s latest blockbuster ‘Srimanthudu’, which had created new records at the Box Office by collecting over Rs 85 Crore Share across the globe, was premiered on Zee Telugu on 8th November.
Srimanthudu received huge response for its premiere show too. Pics of fans of Mahesh Babu performing puja to the TVs on the premiere day, surfaced on social media on the next day of premiere.
According to reliable sources, it is revealed that Srimanthudu has garnered an astonishing 22.04 TRP rating. Interestingly Baahubali had fetched only 21.84 TRP.
Zee Telugu has bagged the satellite rights of Srimanthudu by shelling out Rs 12 Crore, the highest for Mahesh Babu and the second highest for a Telugu movie after Baahubali.
However, many opine that if not for the incessant Advertisements during the telecast of Baahubali, the epic Film would have created huge TRP with a mile margin for other films to achieve.
