The ruling party of Telangana, TRS, has thrown a death blow against all the parties in fray for the GHMC elections with its masterstroke to attract seemandhra settlers.
TRS, a party that spearheaded the Telangana movement with a strong dissent against Andhra people, has surprised everyone by allotting 15 tickets to candidates from Seemandhra region to contest in the upcoming GHMC polls. This masterstroke from TRS came when the party announced the final candidates list on 17th Jan.
As per reports, all these 15 seemandhra candidates will be fielded in areas dominated by Seemandhra settlers so that the final result can come in the favor of the ruling party. As per sources, TRS made the calculated move by choosing the 15 candidates based on their caste, the dominant castes of the Seemandhra people in each division are selected and given ticket.
Since the beginning of the GHMC polls campaign, TRS leaders have been showering the Seemandhra people with countless freebies. This final deathblow has now left the opposition parties in doldrums.
IT Minister K T Rama Rao is said to be the mastermind behind this idea.
