Shah Rukh Khan’s car was on Sunday stoned by few unidentified miscreants while the star was shooting for his upcoming Film “Raees” in Ahmedabad.
As per reports, Shah Rukh was not in the car at the time of stone pelting by a small crowd shouting slogans of “Jai Sri Ram” and “Shah Rukh Khan, Hai Hai”. The car was parked some distance from the location where he was shooting. Over a dozen activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) were detained after they burnt an effigy of SRK.
Shah Rukh shot a couple of scenes at the Sarkhej Roza mosque and dargah during the day and over 200 policemen guarded the Roza dargah.
Last week, a group of demonstrators protested near the Kutch district collector’s office in Bhuj demanding Shah Rukh Khan to be banned from entering into the Rann of Kutch. This protest from VHP is result of Shah Rukh’s statement regarding intolerance in India.
“Raees” is based on the life of Abdul Lateef Shaikh, an underworld don of the 1980s. “Raees” has Pakistani actress Mahira Khan as female lead.
