Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently said officers from a bank he had an account with during his college days, searched for him for 32 years to close his account, which was zero balance.
Modi said it was a Dena Bank account that was opened via the ‘piggy bank’ scheme.
He further said that his first active bank account was opened after he turned out to be an Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Gujarat.
Narendra Modi is currently serving as the 14th Prime Minister of India. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, and is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi.
