Hyderabad District Congress Committee President and former minister Danam Nagender and his followers were thrashed badly when they went to Uppal to participate in an event to celebrate the 131st anniversary of the Congress Party.
Going into details, Congress party was organizing flag hoisting ceremony in all constituencies to mark its 131st Formation Day. Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee President Mallesh Goud had already completed the flag hoisting ceremony and left the place by the time Danam reached Uppal constituency.
Then Danam’s followers removed the already hoisted flag by Mallesh Goud and hoisted another flag for Danam. On learning about this incident, Mallesh came back with his followers and beat and chased away Danam and his followers. They even hurled eggs and tomatoes at Danam and his followers. It was a complete embarrassing situation for Danam as people were watching the street fight kind of situation.
Later, Mallesh said that Danam violated the party discipline and his action was utterly provocative. He pledged to take this issue to high command.
