The party cut the ticket of MP Tripathi, but instead of giving his father Ramapati Ram Tripathi a ticket from Deoria, he made it clear that BJP does not want to annoy the supporters of Sharad Tripathi. The question is, what is it that, even after such indiscipline, the party does not allow concrete action against Sharad Tripathi and forcing the family to issue tickets?

In Gorakhpur and adjoining areas, BJP has counted as many Brahmin candidates as it was in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. This time there has been a change, in which the Brahmin quota of Khalilabad seat has been shifted to Gorakhpur. While in Deoria, Kushinagar, Basti all these seats, Brahmin candidates have been dropped as of 2014.
