Two employees from the Google have accused the company of punishing, sidelining and even firing workers who stand up against the firm.
An internal open letter published by Wired revealed that Whittaker and Stapleton were 2 among 7 employees who organised mass walkouts in November 2018 against the behavior of the company on sexual misconducts.
They walked out against how Google handles sexual misconducts.
Stapleton claimed she was demoted for this. However, the company’s decision was reversed after she hired a lawyer.
On November 1, 2018 approximately 20,000 employees of Google engaged in a Worldwide walkout to protest the way in which the company has handled cases of Sexual Harassment, and other grievances.
The organizers published a list of demands. In December 2018, contract workers for Google wrote an open letter with demands addressing disparities between employees and contractors.
