As per sources, NTR Jr has recently rejected to play the lead role in the Telugu remake of super hit Tamil Film ‘Vedalam’ starring Ajith in lead. Sources further added that despite the makers offered a whopping Rs 20 Crore remuneration to NTR for this remake, the actor didn’t hesitate to say a big NO. Here is the reason for NTR’s rejection.
‘Vedalam’ starring Ajith in lead role has become one of the biggest hits in his career. The film has Shruthi Haasan as leading lady and Lakshmi Menon as sister of Ajith. The film is basically a drama based on sister sentiment. After watching the film, NTR was impressed but he was equally concerned with the importance given to sister character in the film.
NTR Jr is heard to have felt that sister role has dominated hero’s role hence he rejected it. In the past, NTR’s ‘Oosaravaelli’ flopped as heroine Tamanna’s character has more importance than his. So, this experience has led him to reject Ajith’s blockbuster.
Meanwhile NTR is busy finishing the shoot of ‘Nannaku Prematho’ to release it on 13th January.
