John Abraham has created a niche for himself in Bollywood. Over the past few years, John has been the face of many patriotic movies which started with Madras Cafe. Since then he has given movies like Parmanu, Satyameva Jayate and Force 2 and has carved a patriotic touch to his name in Bollywood.
John Abraham recent flick Romeo Akbar Walter too had the same patriotic touch. The Teaser and Trailer were highly appreciated as through them; we got to know about the film’s premise. The movie is based on the real-life incidence of a RAW agent who helped India to win the 1971 war against Pakistan.
However, the film released yesterday with mixed reviews what’s more disappointing that the majority of the critics have given negetive reviews about the movie. The film is criticized for being extremely lengthy with fewer moments of thrill: something which one should bit characterize with a thriller. Also, the character of Mouni Roy is wasted and was just included to add on more screen time to the movie. Which ultimately did not help?
Thus, Akbar Romeo Walter missed the mark. It could have been yet another super hit in the kitty of John, but all certainly looks to be a struggle at Box Office.
