Why Virat Kohli is failing to impress as Captain for Royal Challengers Bangalore???

Scoring hundreds at will, averaging over 50 in three formats of the game and nearly 20,000 international runs over just a decade: This is what Virat Kohli is

Recently, Virat won the historical test series against Australia, the first Asian Captain to do so.

Things need to change for Virat Kohli and RCB very quickly this season or else; it may be another season of disappointment.

Virat Kohli: The Best Batsman in the modern era

Virat Kohli is currently the best batsman in the present day scenario. Scoring hundreds at will, averaging over 50 in three formats of the game and nearly 20,000 international runs over just a decade: This is what Virat Kohli is. A modern Day God Of Cricket.

Virat’s international captaincy has also been fabulous. He has been the captain of Indian Test Side for four years now and has won test matches in every country. Recently, Virat won the historical test series against Australia, the first Asian Captain to do so.

In One Dayers Virat Kohli has won 34 out of 50 matches and very recently just lost his first international One Day series at Home against Australia. Apart from that, there has been only one series loss in his captaincy against England in England. Rest, he has marshaled his troops very well, maintained the rank of 2nd best One Day team of the world.

But what happens when it comes to his captaincy in IPL stinct. He has been a captain for Royal Challengers Bangalore for quite some time now. Very recently, Virat Kohli, became the 3rd Captain in IPL, after MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir to lead a side in 100 or more matches. But ironically, his statistics have been the poorest of all the Captains. His win ratio is just 45 percent. What’s more to the tragedy: this year IPL has also started with four losses in a row for RCB.

What goes wrong with Virat Kohli when playing for RCB???

Virat Kohli and AB Devillers

Team combination is a huge factor. If we look by seasons after seasons, the whole team has relied on either on Likes of AB Devilliers or Gayle or Chahal or Kohli in every match to win for them. If they fail, the team fails to win. Thus, it creates a lot of pressure on Kohli and senior Co of RCB.

Lack of Experience may also be one of the factors. Virat Kohli has always been blessed with the experience of MS Dhoni or Rahane or Rohit Sharma which has helped him a lot. However, when it comes to RCB, there is no one other than ABD ( who himself is not a successful captain) which Kohli can rely on.

Things need to change for Virat Kohli and RCB very quickly this season or else; it may be another season of disappointment. Hope Kohli finds the right mojo from the next game onwards.
