JanaSena Party President Pawan Kalyan has yesterday met the AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office in Vijayawada and spoke for two hours. This meet has become the talk of the political and Film circles.
Following the meeting, Pawan interacted with media and spoke about the agenda of the meeting. When asked if Janasena will contest in the forthcoming GHMC elections, Pawan replied that his party is not financially strong enough to enter active politics yet.
Pawan added that because of his weak financial status, he didn’t contest in the 2014 Assembly elections but he asserted that Janasena will contest in the 2019 elections.
Pawan was right about financial status as contesting in General Elections is no mean feat. It requires lot of money to field candidates and carry out extensive election campaigns.
However, the big question is how will Pawan gather funds by the time of 2019 polls? He hardly works in one film every year. After Sardaar, he might work in no more than 4 more films by the 2019 polls. Will that money be enough?
Known to be a genuine politician, Pawan will not resort to sell party tickets to candidates to raise funds. Thanks to his popularity, many bigwigs will surely back him financially. Will he take financial help from the trusted bigwigs?
How Janasena will be ready to contest in the 2019 elections is still not clear.
